Molly Zuckerman
Molly Zuckerman is a senior at the Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy. She and her family have been members of Beth Sholom since Molly was 2 years old and started attending pre-school at Beth Sholom.
As a youth, Molly was not that involved with youth programs, but as she got older, she began to see the value in the leadership roles played by the teen leaders. After her Bat Mitzvah, Molly began to volunteer as a youth leader for Shabbat programs. She began leading Kadima and remained there for a few years showing young children the beauty and fun of Shabbat. As a junior in high school, Molly was asked to be on the Executive Youth Board led by Rabbi Rackover. In this role, Molly was instrumental in developing new and exciting programs for the youth on Shabbat and holidays. This year, Molly continues to serve as a Youth Advisor assisting Darren Schneider, the current Youth Director and other leaders to restructure and perfect Shabbat and holiday programming. In addition, Molly currently leads Davening Divas, a new group for young girls on Shabbat morning helping them to learn the Shabbat morning prayers and parsha while playing games and reading stories. Molly is also involved with the youth on Shabbat afternoons with Bnei Akiva. She has been a Madricha for the past two years working closely with the Bnot Sherut and other Madrichim in planning and implementing exciting activities for kids.
Molly feels deeply attached to the Beth Sholom family. Not only has she grown up in the Potomac community being mentored by older teens, but she has herself become a mentor for the youth that follows and will one day take over the youth leader positions.
